The award ceremony of the “Barrier-Free Informatics Awards”, organized for the eleventh time by the Türkiye Barrier-Free Informatics Platform in cooperation with the Ministry of Family and Social Services, Anadolu University and Manisa Celal Bayar University, was held on 20.09.2023 at the opening of BİLTEVT’23: International Barrier-Free Informatics Congress 2023, hosted by Anadolu University at its Yunus Emre Campus in Eskişehir. At the ceremony, our Department of Quality Management received the “Barrier-Free Public Service Award” for the ALO 123 REQUEST MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PROJECT.

On behalf of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Erhan ELİBOL, Head of the Department of Quality Management of the Strategy Development Directorate, received the award from Mr. Mustafa KURT, Rector of Marmara University. Within the scope of our project, sign language staff have been assigned to serve on behalf of all institutions affiliated, related and associated with the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, making it possible to offer services in the field of transport even on behalf of institutions that do not have their own sign language service. In this way, in line with the principles of accessibility and equality, the rights provided to all our citizens have also been extended to our hard-of-hearing and Deaf citizens, who can now submit their requests, opinions and suggestions easily and clearly and have their problems resolved.
